What's in our podcast?

September 2010

School's back and this month's podcast comes from our good friends at the legendary Domino Recording Company. We've picked a few of our favourite tracks from the back catalogue, alongside a select few of the more recent stunners.

'After Dark', the new single from The Count and Sinden and Joy Orbison's reworking of Four Tet's 'Love Cry' start the mix off in dance floor territory. We soon move into Domino's band heavy talent - chart topping Franz Ferdinand and the Arctic Monkeys show the labels diversity when you contrast their sound with the beautifully clipped folk from Psapp or the bedroom studio aesthetic of Adem. To wrap it up, Wild Beasts' master piece 'All the King's Men' should leave you wanting to explore the world of Domino even more... we've barely scratched the surface.
